How to Create Income from Art
It all begins with an idea.
This is not a quick answer, but rather an investment of time and money. You have to have a positive and determined mindset. I have been working on this idea for so many years. Only recently have I made significant headway.
It started with targeted ads I kept seeing everywhere. Why? Because I’m a mom and, let’s be honest, The Rainmaker Challenge is targeted to moms. But there’s a wholesome reason for this… The Rainmaker Bootcamp and Challenge started from two people working really hard to have a life where they could spend more time with their family and have more financial freedom. They worked really hard as photographers and then tried many different avenues of earning income online. Once it began working and they were making more money from online sales than from their photography gigs, they were psyched. They decided to start teaching their friends how to use these same skills they honed in on.
Eventually, this turned into the business of The Rainmaker Family.
I kinda fell in love with the story and was quite wary of any gimmicks because I’ve fallen for several over the years. But you know what that really means? I won’t give up and I keep trying. I believe that I can achieve something bigger and refuse to give up.

What Can I Learn from The Rainmaker Bootcamp?
Well, you do have options. I think the initial 7-Day bootcamp is about $50 dollars or so. It provides a lot of quality content that can teach you great skills. But it leaves a lot of people thirsty for what else The Rainmaker Family can offer. I signed up for the Mastermind 9-months (maybe 12 months?) and have been very pleased so far.
Every day of the week you get a coaching call (and sometimes more than one call per day) on Zoom. There’s the Monday pep talk, Tuesday is about Social Media, Wednesday is about Product Research, Thursday is about Manufacturing and Sourcing, and I think Friday is Marketing. You also have guest speakers from different amazing E-commerce companies like Zignify, Helium 10, Rainflow (their own platform for emails, funnels, lead magnets, and more), and so much more. So if you just attend these Zoom calls alone there is a lot to learn from the presentations and questions from the other members who are currently working through the courses alongside you at different phases.
The courses are broken down into manageable chunks and you can skip around if you are already knowledgable in certain aspects.
The learning curve is STEEP, however, and it is a LOT to process. I know this is a long game, but it’s important to dedicate 1-4 hours each week at minimum. If you don’t have the tie or dedication be honest with yourself that this may not be the right time.
I have been learning about Helium 10 which takes filters through a lot of different information about Product Research. The application for this research is finding the right product that many people search for, but that you can innovate on or provide a quality product listing for those customers. They have many filters to put the products through in order for you to determine the best products to order from manufacturers.
Then the Rainmaker Family courses take you through finding manufacturers, you have templates for communication, troubleshooting, and multiple platforms for manufacturers around the world (China, India, Taiwan, etc).
They talk about hiring virtual assistants once you get to a point that you can outsource and where best to source them from, how to hire, communicate with, and train them.
There’s so much more to The Rainmaker Challenge and Bootcamp. I feel that after two months of working every weekday (weekends are for the kids, people!) I’m still just scratching the surface. Do I tell everyone about this? No. I don’t feel prepared to talk about it to much because I’m still learning so much. But I will say that I have made so much more progress in the past two months than perhaps in the last 5-10 years of warily dipping my toes into all sorts of other ideas… website, blog, etsy, redbubble, teepublic, printful… Honey! I have tried it all. But I will say that everything is building upon each other and I do not regret any of that.
Currently, I am looking at sourcing 1-3 products for FBA, creating KDP coloring books (one of which you can see above that is SO CLOSE to being available again), children’s books, journals, books, and more. My vision is big and I intend to achieve that. I don’t know how, but I will certainly keep trying.
The Rainmaker Challenge isn’t the only option out there, but I do love the coaching on daily calls and the 1:1 coaching every 2 weeks for 8 weeks after your initial onboarding. Even just my attitude and self-confidence has gotten much better since beginning this course. So, I’m very thankful for that. Cheers!

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
